Designing a Cutting-Edge ESG-Focused Web Application
I collaborated with Veriti to create a best-in-class, responsive web application to empower their advisors in delivering Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) or “Impact Investing” strategies. Given that ESG was an emerging concept in the investment field, I worked closely with Veriti to deeply understand the needs of both advisors and clients. This collaboration helped inform a user-centered design that would not only support advisors in navigating complex ESG concepts but also provide a seamless, intuitive experience for educating clients on these impactful investment strategies.
Simplify Direct Index & ESG Investing
I set out to tackle two key challenges: creating a tool that enables advisors to easily build and pitch diverse investment strategies to clients, and simplifying the concepts of direct indexing and ESG investing. To achieve this, I engaged in a series of discovery exercises, including persona development, journey mapping and prototyping. The first step was gaining a deep understanding of the investors—specifically, the types of clients advisors are speaking to. This involved thoroughly exploring the different investor profiles and their unique values to ensure the solution was tailored to their needs.

My UX strategy was to embed educational touchpoints throughout the software to simplify index investing and ESG. This approach enabled new advisors to onboard quickly while also reinforcing important concepts for even the most experienced advisors. By integrating these learning moments, I promoted transparency and helped ensure both advisors and clients were equipped with the knowledge to make informed decisions.
